มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ฉลองการผลิตครบ 4 ล้านคัน ในไทย
ชลบุรี,18 พฤศจิกายน 2558 : มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส คอร์ปอเรชั่น ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และมิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ประเทศไทย ได้เฉลิมฉลองการผลิตรถยนต์ทุกรุ่น ครบ 4,000,000 คัน ในประเทศไทย โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ฯพณฯ ดร. อรรชกา สีบุญเรือง รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม ฯพณฯ มร.ชิโร ซะโดะชิมะ เอกอัครราชทูตญี่ปุ่นประจำประเทศไทย มร.เทะสึโระ อาอิคาวะ ประธาน และประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ปฏิบัติการ มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส คอร์ปอเรชั่น ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และ มร.โมะริคาซุ ชกคิ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ร่วมเป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยแขกผู้มีเกียรติจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐบาล ผู้ผลิตชิ้นส่วน และพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจ เข้าร่วมงานในวันนี้
มร. เทะสึโระ อาอิคาวะ ประธาน และประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ปฏิบัติการ มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส คอร์ปอเรชั่น ประเทศญี่ปุ่น กล่าวในคำกล่าวแสดงความยินดี ว่า “ผมขอแสดงความขอบคุณอย่างจริงใจ ต่อรัฐบาลไทย และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทุกภาคส่วน ที่ได้ให้ความร่วมมือ และสนับสนุนแก่มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ประเทศไทย มาอย่างต่อเนื่อง มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ยังคงมีความเชื่อมั่นว่าประเทศไทยไม่เพียงแต่มีศักยภาพสูงในด้านการเติบโตของตลาดรถยนต์ภายในประเทศ แต่ยังเป็นฐานการผลิตเพื่อตลาดระดับโลก ภายใต้แผนงานระยะยาวและนโยบายที่แน่นอน ในการขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ไทยให้ก้าวไปข้างหน้า
หากมองย้อนกลับไป นับจากปี พ.ศ. 2504 ที่มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ได้เริ่มธุรกิจในประเทศไทย เราได้บรรลุยอดการผลิตครบ 1 ล้านคันแรกในปี พ.ศ. 2546 จากนั้นเราได้บรรลุยอดการผลิต ครบล้านที่สอง และสาม ในเดือนกรกฎาคม พ.ศ. 2553 และเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2556 ตามลำดับ มาถึงปัจจุบัน เราใช้เวลาน้อยกว่า 3 ปีในการเดินทางมาถึงยอดการผลิตครบล้านที่สี่ในครั้งนี้ ยอดการส่งออกรถยนต์จากโรงงานแหลมฉบังจนถึงปัจจุบัน มีจำนวนประมาณ 2.8 ล้านคัน ส่งออกไปยังประเทศต่างๆ กว่า 150 ประเทศ นับว่าโรงงานแหลมฉบังเป็นฐานการผลิตที่สำคัญที่สุดของมิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส อย่างแท้จริง”
ด้าน มร. โมะริคาซุ ชกคิ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด กล่าวว่า “ นับเป็นความบังเอิญที่น่ายินดี ที่เมื่อวันที่ 18 พฤศจิกายน วันเดียวกันนี้ในปีก่อน เราได้จัดพิธีเปิดตัวรถยนต์ไทรทันใหม่ เป็นครั้งแรกของโลก ในประเทศไทย ภายในเวลา1 ปีที่ผ่านมา เรายังได้เปิดตัวรถยนต์รุ่นใหม่อีกหนึ่งรุ่น นั่นคือ ปาเจโร สปอร์ตใหม่ และหากย้อนกลับไปในช่วงเวลา 4 ปีที่ผ่านมา เราได้มีการเปิดตัวรถยนต์รุ่นใหม่ต่อเนื่องกันทุกปี รวม 4 รุ่น นั่นคือ มิราจ แอททราจ ไทรทัน และปาเจโร สปอร์ต สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงการก้าวไปข้างหน้าอย่างไม่หยุดยั้งของมิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ประเทศไทย นอกจากภาครัฐ และพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจทุกท่านแล้ว ผมขอกล่าวขอบคุณไปยัง ลูกค้าคนสำคัญของมิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ทั่วโลก ที่ได้ตัดสินใจเลือกซื้อรถที่ผลิตโดยฝีมือคนไทย ซึ่งทุกคันที่ท่านเลือกซื้อ ได้นับรวมกันจนมาถึงยอดการผลิตครบ 4 ล้านคันในวันนี้”
บริษัท มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด เริ่มการผลิตที่โรงงานแห่งที่หนึ่งในนิคมอุตสาหกรรมแหลมฉบัง เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2535 และเริ่มสายการผลิตในโรงงานแห่งที่สองในปี พ.ศ. 2539 ด้วยวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะเน้นการผลิตรถกระบะขนาด 1 ตัน พร้อมกันนั้น บริษัทฯ ได้เข้าร่วมโครงการสนับสนุนการผลิตรถยนต์โปรดัก แชมเปี้ยนของรัฐบาล เพื่อสร้างให้ประเทศไทย เป็นฐานการผลิตและส่งออกรถกระบะของโลก รถกระบะไทรทันจึงได้รับการผลิตจากโรงงานแหลมฉบังต่อเนื่องมาถึงสามเจนเนอเรชั่น และส่งออกไปจำหน่ายยังประเทศต่างๆ กว่า 150 ประเทศทั่วโลก และประสบความสำเร็จในการจำหน่ายอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2550 มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ได้ตัดสินใจเข้าร่วมโครงการโปรดักแชมเปี้ยนรุ่นที่สองของไทย หรือโครงการ อีโค คาร์ จึงได้ลงทุนก่อสร้างโรงงานแห่งที่สามขึ้น และเริ่มการผลิตรถยนต์อีโค คาร์ในปี พ.ศ. 2555
บริษัทฯ มียอดการส่งออกปีละประมาณ 300,000 คัน ด้วยการตอบรับที่ดีจากลูกค้ามิตซูบิชิ ทั่วโลก ต่อรถยนต์ที่ผลิตโดยฝีมือคนไทย การเติบโต และพัฒนาการเหล่านี้ ได้นำพาให้ MMTh และประเทศไทย เป็นฐานการผลิตและส่งออกที่ใหญ่ที่สุด และสำคัญยิ่งต่อมิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส คอร์ปอเรชั่น
ปัจจุบัน มิตซูบิชิ มอเตอร์ส ประเทศไทย มียอดการผลิตปีละ 420,000 คัน แบ่งเป็นยอดการผลิตรถพีพีวี จำนวน 75,000 คันจากโรงงานแห่งที่หนึ่ง รถกระบะไทรทัน 184,000 คัน จากโรงงานแห่งที่สอง และรถยนต์อีโค คาร์ 165,000 คัน จากโรงงานแห่งที่สาม นอกจากนี้ ยังมีโรงงานในเครือ คือ MMTh Engine หรือ MEC ที่ทำการผลิตเครื่องยนต์ปีละ 502,000 เครื่อง เพื่อการประกอบรถยนต์ในประเทศไทย และการส่งออก
Chonburi, November 18, 2015 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Japan and Mitsubishi Motors Thailand today celebrates the 4,000,000 unit production of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand for all models, with honored presided over by H.E. Dr. Atchaka Sibunruang – Minister of Industry, H.E. Mr. Shiro Sadoshima- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Tetsuro Aikawa – President & COO of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Japan, and Mr. Morikazu Chokki – President &CEO of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and honored guests from government section, part suppliers and business partners.
Mr. Tetsuro Aikawa, President & COO of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Japan (MCC) addressed his speech that “ I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Thai government and all the parties concerned for their continued cooperation and support rendered to MMTh. Mitsubishi Motors have maintained the firm belief that Thailand not only has high potential in terms of its domestic market growth but also a production hub for the global market under the government’s long-term and consistent policies to foster the Thai automobile industry.
Looking back, we had started business in Thailand in 1961, and subsequently in 2003 MMTh achieved the first million units production. Further MMTh achieved its second million units production in July 2010 and third million units in February 2013. Now, in less than three years that Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has reached the fourth million unit production milestone. Total exports of the Laem Chabang plant are currently about 2.8 million (two million eight hundred thousands) units which were sold in more than 150 countries. Indeed the Laem Chabang Plant has become the most important global production hub for us. Mitsubishi Motors will continue to place MMTh as the core of our business, devoting ourselves to producing vehicles that will exceed customers’ expectations, and expand our operations in step with the Thai automobile industry.”
Mr. Morikazu Chokki – President & CEO of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. remarked “It is coincident that last year same day, on November 18th, 2014, we held the launching ceremony of All New Triton, as the world premiere in Thailand. Within a year, we also have launched another new model; All New Pajero Sport and we have launched 4 new models (i.e. Mirage, Attrage, Triton and Pajero Sport) for 4 consecutive years in a row which is a reflection of dynamic movement of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand. Besides the government and concerned business parties, I would like to say thank you to our valuable customers in the world who have chosen our Thai-Made Cars which every single unit counted for the 4 Million unit production achievement.”
Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MMTh) inaugurated its first factory in Laem Chabang Industrial Estate in 1992 and the second factory in 1996 on purpose to concentrate production of 1-ton pickup segment. Along with the MMTh Second Factory, Mitsubishi Motors joined the first Thailand Product Champion to promote and establish Thailand as the production hub and export base of pickup. Three generations of Mitsubishi Triton has been producing from Laem Chabang factory exporting for more than 150 countries worldwide with all-time great success. Then in 2007 Mitsubishi Motors decided to join the 2nd Thailand Product Champion or Eco Car project and invested for its Third Factory and started producing Eco Car in 2012.
About 300,000 units annually exported to global market with the well-acceptance from worldwide customer in Thai-made car. These expansion and improvement lead MMTh and Thailand became the biggest and important production hub and export base for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation.
Recently MMTh annual production is reported at 420,000 units; 75,000 units for PPV in the first factory, 184,000 units for pickup in the second factory and 165,000 units for Eco Car in the third factory. Moreover, MMTh Engine Co., Ltd. or MEC , its subsidiary, produces 502,000 engines yearly for assembling in Thailand and export.
